As the business expanded from its initial base in Melbourne, it saw the need to create a presence in other Australian capitals, namely Sydney, Brisbane and Perth. As a consequence of this expansion, NRC created a Wide Area Network using a combination of Telstra ISDN and ADSL to allow all offices to communicate to a central hub in Sydney via VPN technology over the public Internet.
