NetStar and IPsX partner for Aust/NZ/USA customer networks

NetStar Group, a leading IP network and managed solutions provider, has partnered with virtual network operator IPsX to provide network support and management solutions for IPsX customers across Australia, New Zealand and the USA.
IPsX integrates multiple carriers and service providers, coupled with security and network management, to deliver seamless "turnkey" solutions for Wide area Networks (WANs). The partnership with NetStar delivers the ability to proactively manage client networks and provide 24/7 network support. Initially NetStar is providing management solutions for 36 IPsX customers across 160 sites.
"NetStar takes ownership of our clients’ network management, acting as our eyes and ears," explained IPsX managing director, Ed Allen. "As a result, IPsX customers stand to benefit from full network transparency, proactive network management and 24/7 ‘Net Support’ services."
NetStar Australia managing director Chris Meager said NetStar offered first line support solutions using an experienced team of engineers based at the Global Network Centre (GNC) in Sydney.
"IPsX customers now have peace of mind," Mr Meager said. "We can manage the network on their behalf around the clock or, if they just want fault response support, they know they can call anytime and talk directly with a highly skilled engineer. Faults can be tracked throughout the resolution process, providing complete transparency for IPsX and its customers."
Leading Australian agribusiness, Timbercorp Limited, is a newly signed client of IPsX that will benefit directly from this partnership. Timbercorp has 30 sites supported by NetStar, with nine of those being proactively managed.
"Timbercorp is no longer being kept in the dark about the state of its network," Mr Meager said. "The IT manager at Timbercorp is now able to bring up his own network on a screen, displaying areas of the network that have reached capacity, are being over utilised or need upgrading. At the same time, Timbercorp knows that NetStar is keeping constant vigil on the network to ensure it performs at its best."
IPsX selects providers under a ‘best of breed’ approach and formed the partnership with NetStar following a stringent evaluation process to determine the management solution most complementary to its clients’ needs.
"NetStar offered a true end-to-end solution, coupled with great personal contact and a real ‘can do’ approach," said Mr Allen. The alliance between NetStar and IPsX, involves IPsX selling and on-selling NetStar solutions to its customers, with NetStar providing the support and management of the sites.
"IPsX has given us (NetStar) the opportunity to extend our sales of services into the mid corporate sector and local government markets where we have not had a large presence in the past," Mr Meager said.
